"Hourglass" is the debut album by Black Star Mantra, released in November 3rd 2022.
The album is a direct result and summary of the first year of band's existence from it's inception, completing the lineup, early rehearsals and first live shows.
It features some of the first songs written for the project by the band's leader and guitarist - Piotr Michalski.
The recording consists of six tracks recorded and produced during the summer of 2022 in Kongo Studio, Poland.

Tracks on "Hourglass" are characterised by the work of tight rhythm section and heavy guitars, and presence of spacial guitar leads and electronic elements that provide broader soundscape and open atmosphere to the unrelenting riffwork.

The first single - "Astral Void" was released the exact day a year after the date of first rehearsal, considered by the members as the moment of formally establishing Black Star Mantra.
The release should serve as a brief appetizer for fans of modern metal and heavy music, curious about whichever direction the band is gonna take in the nearest future.
